The Final Countdown…

As of right now, there is about 3.29 hours left in 2019. I figured I’d try to squeeze in one last post . I don’t know if this has been overdone but I guess I’ll give you guys a quick old year (2019) recap and drop my new year resolutions in here. Alright 2019…What have I learned? Self love is amazing! I’m very apologetic when necessary but I’ve learned to be unapologetic with grace. To expand on that, unapologetic with grace just looks like saying no without remorse, putting myself first when necessary, being ambitious, strong, black woman w/o dumbing it down so someone else feels less intimidated, speaking my mind w/o edits (I mean what I said)…and the list goes on. Self love is great but loving others is also a gem. For some people in my life I may have appreciated them a little late. I apologize for that…if they read this they probably know who they are. I’m sorry and I love you! But my support system is spectacular. I really just started embracing the people in my life and making sure they know where they stand. I learned to love and let go and still love. I’m sure that anyone who has experienced the complexity of love…it makes sense. I started trusting myself. I’ve always been bright; I’m not saying this in a narcissistic way…it’s true! Although I’ve been smart, and calculated there’s always been a little self doubt. TBH i don’t know where it came from because my parents have always made sure I knew where I stand in this world. GREATNESS (that may have been a little narcissistic lol). I’ve finally found my ground of security in myself. I’m nowhere near perfect and still have a lot to work on but I’ve come really far this year . 2020…I want to sprinkle love on strangers, situations, and everything and just bring the joy with me; be more open and wear my heart on my sleeves a little more. So, I’m one of those people you see in Church on mainstream holidays…my relationship with God is definitely a main one I need to work on for this year. Finally, I am an extreme planner… but I want to add some spontaneity…I want to learn how to play the piano, jump out of a plane, pick up and move, go out with a new friend, try amazing food, venture somewhere I haven’t been. 2020 I just want to live and I’m excited.
